Celebrating Members of the Film and Entertainment Community in Texas

Monday, September 4th
12:00pm - 3:00pm

Texas State Capitol Southwest Grounds
1100 Congress Ave.
Austin, TX 78701

This Labor Day, professionals in the film and entertainment industry of Texas will gather with their families at the Texas Capitol in Austin to celebrate the state’s rich and vibrant film industry and showcase its contributions to the creative fabric of both Texas and the country.

The event is free and open to the public and will bring together actors, crew members, stage and theater craftspeople, film industry suppliers, media providers, as well as independent film professionals and Texas’ many film, media, and performing arts students. The event will highlight the creative contributions of the state's entertainment professionals and give the public an opportunity to meet the Texas film community in person and learn about the tools and techniques of film production.

This year, the organizers of Film Family Labor Day are proud to extend the opportunity at a course credit internship with a vast number of Texas film, media, and live events organizations to the students of the University of Texas at Austin and Austin Community College.
